I am 1 year in on mold illness/CIRS treatment and am doing much better after being so very sick for 6 years. I am now addressing high homocysteine and realize I am very intolerant to methyl donors. I've tried a small dose of a variety of things but always by day 3 or 4 I have severe reaction/unwellness, head pressure, extreme aching, exhaustion - like a severe immune reaction! I am wanting to know if others who are intolerant have these symptoms. I do have COMT and A1298C and C1667 - so that is working against me. I am seeing a top geneticist in 2 weeks and working with Cleveland Clinic Functional Med on mold/CIRS. My reaction/intolerance scares me it is so bad and wondered if I am the only one who has such a physical reaction and not so much mental. I would be very grateful for your insight on this as I try to figure out what direction I should go. Also do you do web consultations?

Are there any differences in the nutrient/actionable remedies for methylation between having MTHFR and COMT? In other words, should someone dealing with low COMT (due to COMT ++ met/met) look at the same exact methylation recommendations as for your advice about MTHFR, or might there be different considerations for COMT? (Because both require methylation). Thank you.
