Catch Me on "Microbes and Mental Health"
My contribution to the summit is on vitamins and minerals in mental health.
Tomorrow, March 14, through Tuesday, March 21, is the Microbes and Mental Health Summit.
The event is hosted by Drs. Miles Nichols, Thomas Moorcroft, and Diane Mueller, who specialize in Lyme. Some big names participating are Wim Hof, and Drs. Jeffrey Bland, Christopher Shade, David Perlmutter, Kiran Krishnan, and Tom O’Bryan. Some colleagues and friends I’ve been close to who are participating include Drs. Rob Abbot, Allison Siebecker, and Steven Wright.
There are many more guests. See here for the full list.
I come in as the vitamin and mineral rather than microbe guy, with an interview we titled “How Your Brain And Mood Are Impacted By Nutritional Biochemistry And Diet.” It includes the following:
How I saw my own brain, mood, and anxiety improve dramatically with a dietary shift.
The nutritional biochemistry behind that shift.
Overview of general areas that are researched for potentially relating to mental health concerns.
Testing to assess nutritional status to identify possible imbalances and dysfunctions that can mood and cognition.
How methylation relates to mental rigidity or flexibility.
MTHFR and COMT genetic polymorphisms and their relationship to methylation dysfunction.
Riboflavin as it relates to methylation and protein mis-folding and migraines.
Importance of also doing mindset and cognitive work and how biochemistry work can help.
My talk is on day four, which is Friday. It is available for 24 hours to everyone who registers for free, and all talks are available permanently (along with downloads, transcripts, and a bunch of bonuses) to anyone who buys a VIP pass.
Register for free with this link.
By the way, while you’re waiting for this (assuming you didn’t get early lifetime access with the VIP option), you may also enjoy my two-part interview on the Joe Cohen Show (Part 1, Part 2) on RDAs, optimal targets, nutritional versus pharmacological effects, what I take for supplements, my immune protocol, and when to focus on optimal performance versus fixing things under the hood; and my latest interview on Wellness Mama, which covers biotin, sodium, potassium, and omega-3s.
Enjoy!
Chris
