That is so awesome and a great validation of your work! If I get onto the leaderboard I will put down Bio Opt as my “managing clinic”!

Maybe it's due to you not have the rapid aging syndrome brought on by EMF?

Are you familiar with the work of Dr. Magda Havas?

With one measurement and no study of what changes impact it, it’s hard to say. Likely a convergence of multiple things, possibly with a centrality for good methylation and antioxidant status.

Congrats Chris.

.For $15, you can pre-order a single format of my Vitamins and Minerals 101 book, my complete guide to nutrition, which I am currently working full-time on finishing.?

Dear Chris.

As you posted this just over a year ago does this mean we are likely to actually get the book we pre paid for 3 or was it 4 years ago some time this year or should we just give up on hoping you will ever complete it as you obviously have so many other things taking up your time?

This is a genuine request ,as l'm perplexed just how brilliantly you can write such informed posts and masterpieces of work you do but can't complete a book that for you should be a rather simple task compared to some of the complex issues you pore over and produce.

Anyway l'm sure l'm not alone in wanting you to fulfill your commitment to the people who have prepaid for your book.

An update itself would go some way in appeasing what for many must be a frustratingly long wait.

Thanks.

My order of work now is:

1) get BioOpt on its feet and hire sufficient help that I can do other things

2) finish all uncompleted highly valuable projects including a) the unfinished MWM Energy Metabolism Course and b) the V&M101 book

You can maintain hope if it doesn’t depend on the ETA or you can get a refund or put it to something else.

How's the vitamin and Mineral book coming? Been a few years and still nothing. Will it get done or is the $15 a contribution for something else?

My question also.

Hi Chris, your score would not surpass Julie Gibson Clark's because the ranking is normalized by chrono age. In other words, it's more difficult to score a lower pace at a older chrono age, and she's significantly older than you. Nonetheless, your results are great, so keep it up!

That's a very good result. But I can't see you in the leaderboard. Have you decided not to follow-up with the 2 other tests?

Have you tested since?

Is there any less expensive alternative test you would recommend ?

Expand full comment
Chris Masterjohn, PhD's avatar

I wouldn’t even recommend this test but it would be a very bad idea to get a test claiming to do the same thing without the validation because it’s cheaper. It’s better to spend fewer dollars on good things than to just throw them away.

That’s fantastic! I wish you even more success.

Do you feel sequencing.com could be as effective as Genova methylation panel for what Genova is? Are there any sites to upload and get similar breakdown to the Genova?

Expand full comment
Chris Masterjohn, PhD's avatar

These are two completely different things. However, you should use whole genome for the genetics rather than the genetic add-on to the methylation panel. But the panel itself and the genome analysis are not at all interchangeable as they are completely different in what information they provide.

Hi Chris, are you planning to add sequencing.com dna testing for your choline calculator?

No I’m not going to update the choline calculator.

Hi, this company says they provide a summary file that's compatible with openSNP, WikiTree, GEDmatch and Promethease. In this case would it work in your choline calculator?

I'm asking this because I've purchased their DNA tests when you refer to this company in one of the WGS posts, now I'm surprised that it won't work in your choline calculator and trying to figure if I can convert the data to an acceptable format.

"We’ve developed a unique universally compatible DNA data file in txt format that’s included as part of your genetic test results.

This special universally compatible file is called the ‘Ultimate Compatibility File’. We designed this file to be compatible with third-party DNA analysis and ancestry services including openSNP, WikiTree, GEDmatch and Promethease. You’ll be able to upload and use your Ultimate Compatibility File with third-party sites that also accept uploads of DNA data from 23andMe"

At the time I had this sample taken I believe I was eating a pound a day of blended beef, heart, tongue, kidney, and liver, though since then I've been eating 12 ounces of beef a day and I'm cutting it down to 6 ounces tomorrow because it is too much sulfur for me.
