Thanks so much for this. My son asked me my opinion of that interview and you explained what he got wrong way better than I ever could. I also thought someone who claimed his knowledge base would properly pronounce glyphosate. Really great review.
I am still amazed (giddy) by your recent posts on polymorphisms. It’s a BIG deal, a lifetime of exciting research ahead and a legacy of knowledge for us all.
I was wondering what you thought of Joe’s convo with Gary and I appreciate you taking the time to add clarity and context.
Thanks for taking us along your journey of discovery, I can’t wait to see where this takes you:) Kelly
Why don't you go on Joe Rogan Podcast and share your knowledge? Maybe you and Gary should have a podcast and debate your differences. Hard to argue with what he has achieved with peoples health especially Dana White but I too find some things hard to believe like hydrogen water. Is there any truth to this?
Hi Chris, thank you for this. So if I were to get some genetic testing what would I ask for from the clinic? Is there a specific name or group of tests to get started on this journey? Thanks again for your review!
I'd agree that he's over simplifying things... But I don't think he said that those are the only 5 genes you need to test, he said they're a good baseline everyone should test.
You are focusing on this as if they are the only genes he ever tests for and it's the basis of most of your critiques.
Also, can you imagine if he spent 2 hours on the JR pod talking about every single gene you could test for? I think the purpose was to hit the low hanging fruit.. Keen to hear your thoughts and if there are more low hanging fruit people should focus on first rather than Gary's 5?
I checked this multiple ways. I found him saying the same thing elsewhere, got a sample report of his test, etc. Nothing contradicts this interpretation.
Seed oils should be trashed, but what about flax seed oil or hemp seed oil. They are both sources of omega3-s, and doesn't flax-seed oil help detoxing "bad" estrogen which can be useful for women who have a slow COMT ? So I have read..

Chris Masterjohn flexing that PhD!
But seriously, good stuff. If it were as simple as Nutrahacker, we'd all be optimized.
*edit* I realize Nutrahacker is moving to WGS, and I don't mean to disdain its use.

Well done.
Thank you! I needed those biochem reviews!
Very cogent. Do you have a link to the 1 million exome study by any chance?
It's linked in the super-unlock article.
I also saw him on Triggernometry. It seems he uses the word "methylation" like the smurfs use the word "smurf".
