By the way, an explanation of creatine-induced headaches has been added to Handling Creatine Side Effects.
Enjoy!

Hey Chris,
I just wanted to express gratitude. You helped me connect some dots that have greatly enhanced my quality of life.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia 4 years ago. It took about 3 years to notice, but my Folate levels were dropping substantially over that time. A year ago it was so low that I was really dragging ass. I started supplementing with Folate, not knowing that this was going to fuel the growth of the cancer. My Lymphocyte counts jumped up dramatically!
It was at this time that I took an interest in Methylation and started listening to podcasts about it. Your article on Creatine had one line that stated that ~40% of methylation is for creatine synthesis. I wondered to myself if supplementing creatine would help preserve what little folate I have.
The result has been that I feel amazing again. My Folate levels are up (still on the low side) even as I got my CLL markers moving in the right direction again.
Thank you!!!
based on the information you presented, it seems like children could also (especially?) benefit from creatine supplementation. What are your thoughts on use in children?
