Chris, I have read that methylene blue can both directly damage DNA by intercalating into DNA strands and indirectly when exposed to light, methylene blue can produce reactive oxygen species (ROS) leading to strand breaks base modifications, and cross-linking of DNA strands. Is that accurate? Shouldn't the potential for DNA damage be balanced carefully when biohacking for more energy or improved mitochondrial function?
